No Gifts for the Baby...

It’s the Christmas season again,

It’s the time for new gifts to rain

All the streets are lit up in light

Everybody is happy and bright

It’s the time when you and I are out

With no reasons, just shopping about

Christmas time, ‘tis sweet as honey

Christmas time, ‘tis rich like money

All is happy

The gifts are many

But no gifts for the baby,

Yet it’s the baby’s party

Johnny is out to get a trinket for Susie

While mummy is out to get the Babie girl for Kelly

The presents are wrapped in papers with fine odours

With fancy ribbons and bows in vibrant colours

The presents are spread all around the fine tree

Yet none cares ‘bout him that hung on the tree on the hill

Christmas time, ‘tis sweet as honey

Christmas time, ‘tis rich like money

All is happy

The gifts are many

But no gifts for the baby,

Yet it’s the baby’s party

There are many gifts that we all can bring

There is only one thing that can make his heart sing

There are many gifts all wrapped and shiny

There is only one that makes his heart merry

There are many gifts that lay beneath the tree

But tell me which one can really make a man free

He doesn’t ask for much; just let him give your friends a touch

Christmas time, ‘tis sweet as honey

Christmas time, ‘tis rich like money

All is happy

The gifts are many

But no gifts for the baby,

Yet it’s the baby’s party
